Ingredients
- 2 kg bone in chicken thighs and drumsticks
- 1 c. all purpose flour (Replace ½ c. for panko crumbs for extra crunch)
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp seasoning salt
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 ½ c honey
- 1 onion
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 425F
- Thinly slice onion and spread at the bottom of an oven safe baking dish
- Mix flour/panko with seasonings in a large Ziplock bag
- Add chicken to the bag 4-5 pieces at a time, close and shake to coat the chicken.
- Place the chicken in the baking dish in a single layer.
- Repeat for all pieces of chicken.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Lower temperature to 400 and turn chicken. Bake for another 15 minutes.
- Drizzle honey over the chicken, and return to the oven for another 10 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the oven, baste with the honey, and allow it to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
